Where your data lives
Accounts, chats, images and search sources are stored on our servers in the European Union. Answers are computed on model servers we rent from independent providers, which can run in other countries; their operators can technically access a server while it runs. Model servers do not store your chats and are shut down when they are not needed.
Your controls
Delete any chat at any time, export your data, or delete your whole account from Settings. Deleted data ages out of backups within 37 days.
Web search
The model searches the web on its own when an answer needs current information or a page you linked, or when you ask it to. We instruct it to keep your personal details and text you pasted out of search terms unless you ask it to search for them. Search terms go to search engines through our own search service, and pages are fetched by our servers, not by your browser.
No trackers
The app loads no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts, and sets only the cookies it needs: for sign-in, security, your settings and invites. This site sets no cookies and does not count visits.
